Brian Anthony Fraser
10/18/2002 - 2/13/2023
Who Brian Was...
Brian lived his life full of love. He was compassionate, caring and well rounded. He enjoyed laughing and having fun with family and friends and was always ready to give a big hug, lend a hand or just extend a smile.
Brian grew up in Grosse Pointe Park, MI. He attended St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School, Grosse Pointe South High School, and then Michigan State University. He was part of a large extended family and had numerous cherished friends. Growing up, Brian played & enjoyed almost every sport. He not only loved each activity but even more so his interactions with teammates and friends. Brian was a recognized leader and very active within his communities. He was a lifeguard at age 15 and promoted within a couple years. At the time of his death, he was a fulltime student, served as President of his fraternity - Phi Delta Theta, and worked part time.
Although there is nothing that will mend the hole in our hearts from the loss of Brian in our lives, we know he would be humbled by the generosity of so many and proud of the charitable work that the Brian A. Fraser Foundation will continue to do in his honor.
Who We Are...
The Brian A. Fraser Foundation was created after Brian’s death in 2023. Following the tragic shooting at Michigan State University, there was an outpouring of generous contributions from so many who sought ways to remember Brian and support the family's desire to memorialize his life through positive contributions & helping others. Approximately $300,000 was donated to scholarships, religious and charitable organizations, planting of trees in the community and multiple memorial awards.
Brian’s parents, Sean and Mary Fraser, and sister, Micaela, want to ensure that Brian will always be remembered as the very kind, loving, driven and generous individual that he was. The Brian A. Fraser Foundation hopes to improve individuals' lives and communities in the areas of the arts, athletics, education, faith, health, housing and safety. The Foundation will donate to various charitable, educational, religious and athletic organizations to continue to spread Brian's light and legacy.
